Elutions Presents Jaco’s VS Autism 2016
On Friday April 29th, Jaco’s Boxing rang the bell in its Third Annual 24 hour boxing marathon to help fight and raise awareness for Autism. The incredible event was complete with food, drink, music, fashion and fights! With the support of the community and #JacoStrong members, all proceeds from this incredible event were donated to Sarasota’s ABA Academy in honor of raising support and awareness for Autism research. With nearly a thousand supporters showing their support over the 24 hour period, we were able to raise more than $20,000 for the ABA Academy in 2014 and more than $40,000 in 2015, and now $52,000 in 2016!
The ABA Academy is an incredible organization which strives to develop the full potential of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other disabilities. Their programs have a foundation in the evidence-based practice of Applied Behavior Analysis while being tailored to the unique needs of students as individuals. The ABA Academy is a non-profit organization that believes that all children are entitled to an education in a setting where they can thrive emotionally, academically, and socially.
“My heart is so full of gratitude and I feel beyond blessed to have met the wonderful ladies of The ABA Academy,” says Jaco Boxing co-owner Kelli Jaco. “The last 24 hours were a whirlwind. So much has gone into this event, so many hours of hard work. To see it come alive so beautifully is really a blessing. The volunteers of JACOS vs Autism were committed and precise and it took a giant team to make this happen. THANK YOU to everyone who helped raise money for this amazing little school.”
